SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Heritage Global Patents and Trademarks (“HGPT”), a global leader in brokerage and advisory services for intangible assets and a division of Heritage Global Partners, Inc. (“HGP”), today announced that it will manage a sealed bid auction for Integrated Drilling Equipment Holdings Corp’s (“IDE” or “the Company”) stationary and portable rig apparatus and assembly method patents. IDE was a leader in the engineering, manufacturing and fabrication of oil and gas rigs. In 2015, it exited the rig construction business to refocus on the Company’s core competencies as one of the energy industry’s most respected innovators and providers of power and control solutions.
Heritage Global is immediately accepting offers for IDE’s three valuable oil and gas rig patents. All bids must be submitted in writing to HGPT by July 28, 2017. Please contact Doug Berman of HGPT with questions or for more information.

“The IDE auction is a rare opportunity for energy companies to acquire three exceptional patents from a former leader in oil and gas rig fabrication,” stated Ross Dove, CEO of Heritage Global Inc. (OTCQB: HGBL, CSE: HGP). “The deregulation of the U.S. energy industry could facilitate another domestic oil and gas boom, potentially making IDE’s rig apparatus and assembly method patents immensely valuable to the holder. We are already receiving strong interest from worldwide buyers and expect participation levels will continue to grow as we approach the bid submission deadline.”
“As crude oil and gas prices have fluctuated over time, we have seen energy companies large and small adopt intellectual property acquisition strategies to strengthen their long-term competitive position,” stated Doug Berman, Director of HGPT. “IDE’s unique patents for stationary and portable drilling rig fabrication would be a tremendously valuable addition to any energy company’s defensive patent portfolio.”
