EvidenceCare Opens Series A Raise in Collaboration with Auctus Group

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--()--EvidenceCare, a Nashville-based clinical decision support (CDS) tool for healthcare providers, announces the opening of their Series A round of funding. The company is seeking additional investment to expand its content library and integrate its proprietary delivery platform with electronic health record systems (EHRs). EvidenceCare has secured the advisory services of Chicago-based Auctus Group to lead the $5 million raise, which is expected to close in the third quarter of 2017.

The company, which launched its solution in July of 2016 has raised $3.6 million in previous funding from angel investors, including the Nashville-based NueCura Partners. The composition of early investors is primarily physicians and healthcare professionals who experience first-hand the void filled by EvidenceCare.

“We have developed a robust solution that has been incredibly well received by our target audience,” stated EvidenceCare’s CEO, Dr. Brian Fengler. “Early reception from hospitals and partnerships with medical societies have driven us to expedite critical technology advancements to accommodate integration and support our growth,” he continued.

EvidenceCare was conceived in 2014 to solve a fundamental need for healthcare providers to find and quickly digest the latest treatment guidelines. The company’s patent-pending technology was pioneered by Dr. Brian Fengler, an emergency room physician, and offers a unique dashboard interface that presents evidence-based recommendations on the unique factors of the specific patient being treated.

“We have been watching EvidenceCare’s growth over the past 9 months,” noted Reginald McGaugh, Senior Managing Director for Auctus Group. “High-growth, high-potential companies like EvidenceCare are square in the wheelhouse for our team and our investor network. We are excited about our future with them.”

EvidenceCare’s decision support tool accelerates provider workflow and enhances the patient-provider relationship by delivering the most up-to-date medical content in a manner that is quickly and easily consumable by clinicians at the bedside. The company works with industry leading experts and medical societies to create content in some of the most complex and costly conditions in healthcare.
