Ebates Announces New Executive Leadership - Amit Patel Appointed as CEO and Adrienne Down Coulson to be New COO

Current CEO Kevin Johnson to Remain on the Ebates Board of Directors

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Ebates, the pioneer and leader in cash back shopping and subsidiary of global internet services company Rakuten, today announced that Amit Patel, current GM of Ebates, has been selected as the new CEO. In addition, Adrienne Down Coulson, current GM of Ebates Canada, will become the company’s COO. Patel will succeed Kevin Johnson, who will remain on the board of Ebates. Patel and Coulson will assume their new roles on June 1st.

Amit Patel has extensive experience in online digital marketing and has lead the Ebates team responsible for the company's overall product strategy, third party integration and retention marketing. Prior to joining Ebates in May 2010, Patel was responsible for product development, positioning and packaging at Acxiom, one of the world's largest email marketing service providers. Patel earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computing and Management from Loughborough University of Technology in the UK.

Adrienne Down Coulson is an experienced digital marketer who has been responsible for the launch and growth of Ebates in Canada. Prior to joining Ebates in 2012, she served as the President and GM of Sequentia Environics, a digital and social marketing agency. Coulson will be relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area to assume her new role.
