Tegile All-Flash Arrays Earns Top Ranking for Midsize Enterprises from DCIG

Annual buyer’s guide recommends all-flash arrays for their superiority in business value, quality of service and ease of use

NEWARK, Calif.--()--Tegile Systems, the leading provider of flash-driven storage arrays for databases, virtualized server and virtual desktop environments, today announced it was awarded the highest ranking in the DCIG 2017-2018 Small/Midsize Enterprise All-Flash Array Buyer’s Guide. This is the second consecutive year Tegile has earned a “recommended” ranking, validating the performance value Tegile’s hybrid and all-flash arrays bring to enterprises of all sizes.

The DCIG 2017-2018 Small/Midsize Enterprise All-Flash Array Buyer’s Guide evaluated 24 arrays from 11 different storage vendors, including Dell EMC, Kaminario, Nimble Storage, Pure Storage and Tintri. Tegile’s IntelliFlash HD, T4800, T4700 and T4600 received “recommended” designations. Tegile was recognized for its:

  • Unified storage: enables organizations to consolidate a broad range of applications and eliminates the need to separate SAN and NAS storage environments.
  • Multi-tiered flash: allows enterprises to balance performance and capacity to accelerate workloads.
  • Intuitive web-based management interface: supports all hypervisors and a wide range of enterprise applications.
  • Flash-first architecture: Tegile’s IntelliFlash Metadata Accelerated technology separates metadata from the primary data path, optimizing inline deduplication, inline compression and zero overhead snapshots.

By design, Tegile all-flash arrays fully support small and midsized enterprises seeking faster, more efficient storage to fuel their enterprise applications. The flash-first architecture of all Tegile arrays provide greater bandwidth to capitalize on flash memory performance. In addition, all arrays include Tegile’s IntelliCare cloud-based analytics, which continually monitor the performance and health of the arrays.

“In the past year we have seen a surge of customer interest in all-flash arrays as enterprises face the ever-growing demand to accelerate workloads without sacrificing reliability or economics,” said Rob Commins, VP of marketing at Tegile. “This need for speed is not slowing down anytime soon, but enterprises can trust that Tegile will maintain its track record of innovating storage at the pace of their needs. This is why all of our arrays are already NVMe-ready, ensuring businesses are always on the cutting edge of storage.”
