LINCOLN, R.I.--()--Granite Telecommunications, LLC, a provider of communications solutions to businesses, today announced it has tripled the size of its office in Lincoln, Rhode Island and intends to add a minimum of 50 new sales, tech, leadership and customer support positions. After a sixth consecutive year of adding $100 million or more in revenue, Granite has already outgrown the Albion Crossing office it opened in December 2013 and will be shifting its Rhode Island operations to a new 23,000 square foot space at the same address with room for over 250 employees.

The new, larger location at 1 Albion Road is the latest in a string of expansions for Granite, which within the last twelve months has purchased a third office tower at its Quincy, MA headquarters, opened a new office in Orlando, FL and expanded its existing work spaces in West Palm Beach, FL and Atlanta, GA. Granite has continued to reinvest in Rhode Island due to the state’s skilled labor pool who are capable of selling communications products and services into complex businesses and providing top-rate service to Granite’s customers.

“Our team in Rhode Island has been a cornerstone of Granite’s success since the company was founded in 2002,” said Granite Chief Operating Officer and Owner Rand Currier. “We continue to reinvest in Rhode Island because we believe our current staff enjoys a great quality of life there and we’re able to more easily recruit new talent to join our team in providing the best service in the industry, which our customers have come to expect from us.”

“Granite Telecommunications is a great example of an established Rhode Island company making use of our powerful yet fiscally responsible economic development tools,” said Rhode Island Secretary of Commerce Stefan Pryor. “This is a company that had options but elected to expand its presence in Rhode Island. Congratulations and thank you to all involved.”

Granite’s growth in recent years can be attributed to the company’s expanded product offering which includes data and IP products designed to meet the demand of business and government customers, in addition to Granite’s traditional forte as a leading provider of voice services for multisite organizations.
