FORT WORTH, Texas--()--GENERAL MOTORS FINANCIAL COMPANY, INC (“the Company”) is pleased to announce its sponsorship of tomorrow’s Financial Literacy Day on Capitol Hill (“Hill Day”), which was created as part of April’s Financial Literacy Month to raise awareness with policymakers about initiatives that improve financial literacy and recognize organizations that are leading the way. Hill Day is organized by Jump$tart Coalition, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving personal financial literacy. U.S. Representatives Steve Stivers (R-OH) and Joyce Beatty (D-OH), co-chairs of the House Financial and Economic Literacy Caucus, will serve as honorary co-hosts.

At this year’s “Hill Day,” GM Financial will share tools and resources from its KEYS℠ by GM Financial training program, an initiative developed to empower mobility through financial literacy education. The program aims to equip consumers with the knowledge to achieve a level of financial literacy that drives them to make smarter financial decisions. Through the program’s online hub, the Company provides consumers with access to free online tools, articles and resources.

GM Financial is committed to taking concrete, positive steps that help consumers make wiser decisions that lead to a brighter financial future. Hill Day represents a unique opportunity to spotlight a broad range of educational and related initiatives around this important topic,” said Dan Berce, President and CEO of GM Financial. “We are proud to serve as a sponsor and look forward to accelerating our own efforts to improve financial literacy in communities across the country.”

KEYS℠ by GM Financial also includes live, interactive training sessions with community organizations. To learn more or inquire about scheduling an event, email keys_by_gmfinancial@gmfinancial.com.
