CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dearborn Partners, an independent Chicago investment management firm, has added accomplished investment manager Peter J. Deakos, CFA, to its team, strengthening its already successful investment management expertise and capabilities.
Deakos has more than 18 years of investment experience. He joins Dearborn Partners from Wells Fargo Advisors where he was First Vice President and Portfolio Manager. In 2013, Deakos created and launched a multi-asset portfolio designed to generate current income as well as growth of income for clients. The multi-asset portfolio grew to more than $3 billion in assets under his management in three years.
Deakos, 40, joins the Dearborn Partners Rising Dividend Strategy co-managed by Carol M. Lippman, CFA and Michael B. Andelman. That strategy was launched in September of 2011 and recently surpassed $2 billion in assets under management. The Rising Dividend Strategy focuses on quality companies that are believed to be capable of steadily increasing dividends, offering investors the potential for long-term investing success.

Deakos’ experience at Wells Fargo and A.G. Edwards included wealth and trust portfolio management and extensive equity analysis. Deakos earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Masters of Business Administration degree from Saint Louis University. He will be based in the St. Louis office of Dearborn Partners.
