MADISON, Wis.--()--Fiskars, the World’s #1 Scissors Brand™, has joined with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for the ninth consecutive year to be the official net-cutting scissors during the 2017 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships.

The iconic orange-handled scissors will be used by basketball winning teams in the post-game net-cutting ceremonies for the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Regional Championship and Final Four games, as well as the NCAA Division II and III Men’s and Women’s Championship games. The special edition scissors have serrated, gold titanium blades that are specially etched with the NCAA logo.

Following the championship games, each of the winning institutions will keep one pair of the commemorative scissors for permanent display on campus.

“Fiskars is honored to be part of the NCAA championships again this year. We’re proud we are able to help the teams celebrate their hard-won success with the net-cutting ceremony. Whether on the court or in the home, our Orange-handled Scissors help people make moments they can cherish,” said Fiskars Americas President Paul Tonnesen.

Introduced in 1967, Fiskars’ flagship Original Orange-Handled Scissors™ have become an iconic design classic with over one billion pairs sold worldwide.
