SANTA MONICA, Calif.--()--TiTANplatform Corporation, a global creativity and technology development company based in Seoul, South Korea, announces media, entertainment and technology industry veteran Adrian Sexton as Chief Executive Officer to lead expansion of its operations in the United States.

Sexton has headed digital creative and business at three media companies: Endemol Shine Group, Participant Media and Lionsgate Entertainment. Sexton was most recently COO & Interim President of Endemol Shine Beyond, the digital arm for global production powerhouse Endemol Shine Group. He managed Participant Media’s expansion into global digital media and launched the TakePart social action network, while also serving on the M&A and Social Action committees. At Lionsgate, he oversaw digital under Jon Feltheimer and Michael Burns, helping raise funding for multiple studio acquisitions, spanning more than $1.25 billion in capital raises over his media career.

On the creative front, Sexton managed digital campaigns for Academy Award®-winning films Crash, Monster’s Ball, An Inconvenient Truth and The Cove as well as Cannes Palm D’Or winner, Fahrenheit 9/11. In addition, he delivered the inaugural Opening Forum digital keynote at the 60th Anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival.

Sexton co-founded two media strategy agencies, TAG Strategic and New Medici, managing diverse clients such as Sony Pictures, WPP, Qualcomm, Vevo, 20th Century Fox, General Assembly, Universal Pictures, the Producers Guild of America and the Australian Government. He was Chief Developer Officer at Bain Capital Ventures’ largest investment in financial tech, and is a Strategic Advisor to Next Generation Esports and Managing Partner at BANKABL, an accelerator for diversity projects in media and tech.

Adrian is the ideal candidate to scale Titan’s smart content ecosystem to U.S. media creators, entertainment studios, telcos and technology industries,” said Young Yoon, Founder and CEO, TiTANplatform Corporation Korea. “Based on the innovative product design we’ve created in Korea, Adrian’s depth of experience, creative vision and pioneering spirit for all things digital will establish a strong presence for Titan in the U.S.”

Given the abundance of content and distribution in the market, I’m not bullish on tech companies who try to tackle the media and entertainment paradigm. However, Titan’s suite of smart products has exceeded my expectations with their end-to-end digital ecosystem,” Sexton said. “Titan is poised to disrupt the U.S. in-home experience and content-to-commerce marketplace with smarter content across smarter devices in 2017.”

TiTANplatform, a five-year-old, 180+ person company headquartered in South Korea’s Gangnam’s financial center, is designing an advanced ecosystem of smart devices that will transform the way we consume, create and connect with digital video, from entertainment media and music, to IoT (Internet of Things), AI and VR—creating a connected lifestyle of engagement for consumers and businesses.

TiTANplatform’s proprietary digital encryption technology (TCI), pioneered by Founder and CEO Young Yoon, enables a secure transactional environment across the ecosystem. Titan’s integration of software and hardware products include a smart set-top device, Clueworks, which features five gateway functionalities: Winvention smart content media platform, multimedia gateway with Cloud Karaoke, VR gateway including 4K VR WiFi-connected headsets, IoT gateway for health and home automation, and digital signage gateway via Titan-produced smart Digital information Displays (DiD) enhanced for retail, education, government and medical industries—all slated to launch this year in the U.S.

Building on the successful Korean launch of Winvention, the flagship video platform in March 2016, Sexton will lead strategy and digital innovation across the company’s portfolio of products with an initial focus on premium Hollywood, music and digital-first content licensing, as well as helping YouTube creators looking to monetize beyond current video platforms and into originals. Sexton will also spearhead development of national distribution partners for Titan’s Clueworks set-top devices and displays. TiTAN Platform US recently opened a new creative Silicon Beach showroom & open studio at the historic Clock Tower Building near Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, California.
