NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Schweiger Dermatology Group (“SDG”) announced it has completed the acquisition of Lower Manhattan Medical Associates, founded by Dr. Robert A. Moraru. Schweiger Dermatology Group has acquired Dr. Moraru’s office locations in New York City and East Hampton, New York.
Dr. Moraru has drawn a loyal patient base at his locations in lower Manhattan and East Hampton. Dr. Moraru opened his lower Manhattan practice in 2000 and took it from a one day a week practice to a busy five day a week practice. Dr. Moraru began his East Hampton practice in 2011, offering the Hamptons community the opportunity to see a Manhattan quality dermatologist without having to leave the East End.
Dr. Moraru will transition out of his current lower Manhattan office and will join the existing Schweiger Dermatology Group practice in the Financial District, located at 65 Broadway, New York, NY 10006. Schweiger Dermatology Group East Hampton will be located at 300 Pantigo Place, East Hampton, New York 11937.
Dr. Moraru received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and completed his dermatology residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center/St. Lukes-Roosevelt Medical Center. Dr. Moraru is currently affiliated with Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and St. Lukes-Roosevelt / Mount Sinai Hospital Center.“I’m very much looking forward to joining SDG, which will allow me to continue taking excellent care of my patents,” says Dr. Moraru. “By joining I will be providing my patients with even more up-to-date cosmetic procedures.”
