BOSTON--()--GasBuddy, the leading technology company changing the way consumers find, purchase and save money on gasoline, today announced it has launched a rating and reviews feature on its popular free mobile app. The new feature is available across GasBuddy’s network of hundreds of thousands of gas stations and convenience stores in the U.S., Canada and Australia.

To show the power of this new feature, GasBuddy executed a data analysis of over 7 million consumer generated ratings of convenience stores and gas stations in all fifty states in the U.S. The ratings covered four main categories; Cleanest Restrooms, Best Coffee, Best Customer Service, and Overall Experience, and included 131 different c-store brands with 30 locations or more.

“As the primary connector of millions of consumers with convenience stores and gas stations in the U.S., Canada and Australia, GasBuddy has a unique view into their behavior and what they like and don’t like,” said GasBuddy CEO Walt Doyle. “Our new ratings and reviews feature harnesses the power of this consumer sentiment to aid drivers when they’re on the road and help convenience stores and gas stations better serve their customers. This recent brand data analysis is just one of countless ways we’re looking at the massive amount of feedback we’re getting from GasBuddy users.”

Here’s how the winning brands and contenders stacked up in these categories:

CLEANEST RESTROOMS:

According to the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS), stopping to use the bathroom while on a road trip is the number one reason people pull over, so it’s not surprising c-stores and gas stations strive to keep their restrooms clean. Out of 526,702 total restroom ratings these brands were ranked the best for a pit stop by our millions of users:

1. Kwik Trip
2. Quick Trip
3. Hy-Vee
4. AAFES (Army & Air Force Exchange Service)
5. Sheetz

BEST COFFEE:

According to NACS, coffee generates more than 77% of hot beverage sales at convenience stores, and retailers have embraced this by focusing on quality and expanded choice for coffee at their locations. Here are the c-store brands our users say serve up the best cup of Joe:

1. Wawa
2. Kwik Trip
3. Quick Trip
4. Hy-Vee
5. Sheetz

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Serving great products and offering expanded choice to consumers doesn’t mean anything if the customer service isn’t good. GasBuddies voted a total of 802,812 times proving that great service and a friendly smile go a long way, and GasBuddy users say these brands do it the best:

1. Kwik Trip
2. Quick Trip
3. Hy-Vee
4. Wawa
5. NOCO Express

BEST OVERALL:

Our users also rated brands for the best overall experience. These c-store brands were the best at getting the whole retail experience right:

1. Kwik Trip
2. Quick Trip
3. Wawa
4. Fred Meyer
5. Hy-Vee
