MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--February 16, 2017 -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ:CMTL) announced today that during its second quarter of fiscal 2017, its Santa Clara, California-based subsidiary, Comtech Xicom Technology Inc., which is part of Comtech’s Commercial Solutions segment, has received a contract for $1.4 million to supply high-power, multi-amplifier subsystems for uplink satellite communications (SATCOM). This unique system design combines the output power of four 750-watt traveling wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs) providing both high performance and full-time SATCOM availability to the operator.
