DYNACRAFT ANNOUNCES INVESTIGATION RESULTS AND FUTURE PLANS FOR THE 12V TONKA MIGHTY DUMP TRUCK
Dynacraft announced today the results of its investigation of an isolated incident involving a 12V Tonka Mighty Dump Truck product in Bellingham, Washington in November of 2016. The company was immediately made aware of the incident and took swift action to thoroughly investigate the matter and worked cooperatively with the governmental agencies including the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Dynacraft’s investigation found the exact cause of the fire to be inconclusive, but throughout an extensive inspection process, the product’s battery and related components were put through multiple rounds of rigorous tests to confirm its safety and quality. Ultimately, the findings indicated that based upon the available evidence and type of battery (sealed lead acid) involved, the incident in Bellingham, Washington was an unlikely and isolated event.
Dynacraft is satisfied with the results of the investigation and is looking forward to reinstating this popular product. “Consumer safety remains our highest priority and we are proud of our safety record.
