DALLAS--()--The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Curry to FHLB Dallas’ 2017 Affordable Housing Advisory Council (Advisory Council). His three-year term began January 1, 2017 and will expire December 31, 2019.

Mr. Curry is the co-owner and the director of Development for the JL Gray Company, starting his career in the management division, and shifting his focus to development for the last 12 years. JL Gray Company is a development and management company in Las Cruces, New Mexico, of multifamily residential communities in the Southwest and helps communities and nonprofits develop affordable housing using Low Income Housing Tax Credits, United States Department of Agriculture and Housing and Urban Development funds.

“I have been involved with affordable housing most of my life,” said Mr. Curry. “I’ve seen the huge benefits that a community gains when quality affordable housing is introduced for the first time. I’ve also seen the detriments when affordable housing is lost. I’m excited to work with the Advisory Council and to participate in affordable housing discussions to help bring the greatest positive impact to the communities the FHLB serves.”

Greg Hettrick, first vice president and director of Community Investment at FHLB Dallas, said Mr. Curry’s appointment will bring valuable insights to the Advisory Council.

“We couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Mr. Curry to the Advisory Council,” said Mr. Hettrick. “Affordable housing is one of the critical issues of our District and Mr. Curry’s expertise will assist us in addressing the community and economic development needs throughout New Mexico.”
