MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) today announced that Karen Wheeler will become SAIC’s new chief human resources officer, effective Feb. 4, 2017.
Wheeler will succeed Kimberly Admire, who has been the company’s chief human resources officer since 2014. During her tenure at SAIC, Admire led the modernization of HR systems and job structure to better support the matrix operating model and also enhanced SAIC’s employee health and welfare benefits.

As a member of SAIC’s executive team, Wheeler will lead the development and implementation of key employee-related initiatives, including organizational development, talent management, recruiting, retention, and employee engagement.

Wheeler has been a senior vice president and SAIC’s chief procurement officer since 2013. During her career with SAIC, Karen served in many key contracts and procurement director positions supporting numerous business areas.
Wheeler earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Radford University, and a juris doctorate from The Catholic University of America. Wheeler was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2001, and she also has a Corporate Counsel Designation from the Virginia Bar.
