- 68% of visitors intend to shop
- 43% intend to dine at a restaurant or other eating establishment

Millennials Are the Biggest Last Minute Shoppers
- On Saturday, December 17: 74% of millennials plan to shop vs. 59% of Gen X and 42%of Baby Boomers.
- On Sunday, December 18: 63% of Millennials plan to shop vs 51% of Gen X and 35% of Baby Boomers
CONTEXT: “With almost 90% of adults yet to complete their holiday shopping, we will see large crowds this Super Saturday weekend and continuing through to Christmas Eve,” said ICSC President and CEO Tom McGee. “Additionally, experiences will also draw crowds as once again we see that malls and shopping centers play an integral role in their communities by serving not only as a place to go shopping, but also as a place to spend time with family and friends during the holidays.”
METHODOLOGY: The 2016 ICSC Super Saturday study was conducted by Opinion Research Corporation on behalf of ICSC from December 8-11, 2016. The survey represents a demographically representative U.S. sample of 1,025 adults of 18 years of age and older.
