Skanska (STO:SKAB) has signed a contract with existing client the University of Virginia to renovate and expand its hospital. The contract is worth USD 142M, about SEK 1.2 billion, which will be included in the order bookings for Skanska USA Building for the fourth quarter 2016.
The project is an about 40,000 square meter, 15-level expansion as well as 8,000 square meters of renovation work.
Construction services began in June of 2015. The entire hospital expansion and renovation project is slated for completion in December 2020.
