RICHARDSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ZTE USA, the fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the U.S. and second largest in the no-contract market,* today announced it is accepting product name ideas for the recently revealed Project CSX winner, an eye-tracking, self-adhesive phone. For those that dream big, but weren’t able to contribute to actual product ideas or concepts, can control the fate of the device’s name by submitting online beginning today through December 5 at http://csx.zteusa.com.
“We were overcome by consumers’ originality and enthusiasm for the Project CSX ideas and concepts, and we hope to rally them again to bring exceptional creativity and bold ideas for the device’s name,” said Lixin Cheng, chairman and CEO of ZTE USA. “ZTE has always put consumers first, and we’re excited to continue gathering their input on a project that advances the mobile industry.”
ZTE is looking for original name ideas for the winning mobile device. The final product name will be selected from the top five submissions, based on votes from the Project CSX website. The creator of the final product name will receive a small cash prize, and the official name will be announced during CES 2017.
In October, voters chose the winning concept, an eye-tracking, self-adhesive mobile device that aims for an easier and smoother user experience. The yet-to-be-named device could mount to a wall or flat surface to allow for hands-free usage, while eye-tracking capabilities eliminate finger gestures to scroll. The concept – developed by a team of Z-Community members – beat out hundreds of ideas with thousands of votes from participants around the world.
