SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS) today announced new features and functionality for GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar, GoToAssist and Grasshopper, all designed to enable people to connect with colleagues, partners and customers in a more intelligent way and deliver better outcomes.
Today’s workers are spending less of their time in a traditional office environment and more time working in remote location with Internet-enabled devices. In fact, according to IDC, in 2015, approximately 70% of U.S. employees regularly worked from outside their office and were considered “mobile workers.” Today’s digital-native employees have become accustomed to the ease-of-use afforded by mobile devices and consumer applications used in everyday life, driving a need for richer online and mobile business interactions.
With the introduction of a variety of desktop and mobile enhancements, the GoTo product portfolio is delivering innovation that maps to the changing needs of today’s workforce.
GoToMeeting
In a business world where connecting face-to-face is becoming increasingly difficult and meetings can be seen as a disruption, the new GoToMeeting mobile enhancements are aimed at making the meeting process as seamless and productive as possible. With the new “Call Me” feature, GoToMeeting offers an even simpler way for users to join online meetings from anywhere in the world. Available later this year, this new addition allows users to opt into having GoToMeeting call them instead of having to dial in to the meeting, providing an easier way to join meetings from a mobile device.
In addition, through the highly rated GoToMeeting mobile app for iOS devices, later this year users will have access to a true screensharing feature – the first and only innovation of its kind available for Apple users. Sales, consulting and technical professionals can share anything that’s displayed on their iPhone screen during a GoToMeeting session – whether they are performing a demo or pitching to prospects – which helps bring people and ideas together to enable better business outcomes.
Lastly, GoToMeeting is partnering with HipChat to give users the ability to seamlessly launch a session from any HipChat room. HipChat, the group chat tool from Atlassian, is now available for download on the Atlassian Marketplace.
GoToWebinar
GoToWebinar now features doubled capacity, expanded analytics and new mobile capabilities to help marketers connect and convert their target audience. The new “Broadcast Mode” feature allows up to 2,000 attendees to easily join a webinar from any browser without downloading the GoToWebinar application. For webinar hosts, “Source Tracking” allows customers to identify where registrants originate, enabling marketers to understand and evaluate the effectiveness of time and spend. GoToWebinar also now features online recording that automatically stores webinars in the cloud along with the presenter’s video feed.
For webinar presenters, GoToWebinar now offers a new companion app that shows what audiences are seeing and an aggregate of overall attentiveness throughout the webinar. Audiences can provide real-time feedback to presenters through the mobile app with the ability to ‘heart’ or ‘like’ at any time during the webinar. Meanwhile, presenters can choose to allow attendees to share their favorite parts of the webinar with their social networks through the mobile app.
GoToAssist
The redesigned GoToAssist will be available this month to help people resolve issues quickly so they can focus on their work. The multi-channel customer service and remote support tool features a modern look and user experience across web and mobile interfaces, ensuring the way people work within the platform remains the same. With a simplified Unattended Management dashboard, IT administrators can more quickly provide support to unattended machines, enabling a speedy troubleshooting process from start to finish. In addition, the Recordings Dashboard and Administrator Center have both been streamlined to make it easier for remote support experts to locate and connect to machines requiring attention.
Grasshopper
Grasshopper, the virtual phone system for entrepreneurs acquired by Citrix in early 2015, became available in full functionality in the United Kingdom (UK) on September 19. With a simple mobile app, Grasshopper gives users the ability to add a virtual business line to their existing personal mobile, home or office phone number, without having to install or maintain expensive hardware. Over 250,000 entrepreneurs in North America and the UK are using Grasshopper to expand their footprint and appear more professional, including close to 1,000 customers in the UK.
