INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DirectEmployers Association announced today a series of leadership changes that leverage the company’s talent and position it for continued success. Michael Goldberg, formerly the Director of Talent Acquisition at American Heart Association, was selected as the association’s Executive Director, and Candee Chambers, DirectEmployers VP of Compliance & Partnerships, was appointed as the Deputy Executive Director.
Bill Warren, Executive Director, DirectEmployers Association has decided to retire following an exceptionally successful 40+ year career in human resources. Widely recognized as the “Father of Online Recruiting,” Warren’s leadership and passion for driving industry-wide change helped shape the industry and has lead the way for a number of organizations in HR today. To ensure a smooth leadership transition, Warren will remain in his current role until December 15, 2016.
Michael Goldberg was chosen as Warren’s successor and will begin transitioning into his new role as Executive Director on November 7, 2016. For the last five years Goldberg has been a DirectEmployers Member with Freeman and the American Heart Association and has served on the Board of Directors for the last two years. As one of the Association's biggest brand advocates, he has played an active role contributing to the Member Awards program, beta testing the new member community and often speaks on the Association’s behalf at conferences. Along with his enthusiasm and desire to innovate, he brings over 25 years of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition strategy experience to the Association.
In an effort to align DirectEmployers with other associations of similar size, the Board of Directors has created a new position of Deputy Executive Director. Candee Chambers, DirectEmployers’ current VP of Compliance & Partnerships, was selected for this role and will report to and work closely with Goldberg to lead the strategic direction for the Compliance and Partnership Solutions Team. Chambers’ unique contributions to the Association, coupled with her industry rapport and practitioner background, make her a natural choice for this new position. In her time at DirectEmployers, she has positively impacted the compliance solution, and provided countless members with guidance and assistance during audits.
With Goldberg’s deep knowledge of talent acquisition strategy, recruitment marketing and sourcing coupled with Chambers’ expertise in affirmative action and OFCCP compliance, DirectEmployers Association is well positioned for future innovation and growth.
