Enigma Hires Industry Veteran Jamie Bernardin as VP of Engineering

Former CTO of Integral Ad Science and Co-Founder/CTO of DataSynapse joins Enigma, bringing leadership experience and proven track record to rapidly growing team

NEW YORK--()--Enigma, an operational data management and intelligence company, today announced Jamie Bernardin has joined the organization as Vice President of Engineering. With this hire, Enigma brings additional leadership to support the company’s continued growth through new products and use cases.

“At our core, we are passionate about the infinite opportunity that arises when data is connected and actionable. Jamie shares our passion,” said Hicham Oudghiri, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Enigma. “He brings deep subject-matter expertise, having built one of the first grid computing products on the market - essentially cloud computing before cloud computing as we know it today. And as a former Founder, Jamie has scaled technologies and engineering teams from creation to exit. His hire is an essential step forward for our business and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have Jamie on board.”

Jamie is an experienced software leader and innovator with a track record of successfully creating, building, and bringing to market products in cloud, mobile, and financial computing. Most recently, he served as Chief Technology Officer at Integral Ad Science where he successfully scaled the engineering team globally. Previously, Jamie co-founded DataSynapse, a startup acquired by TIBCO, that was the leading provider of cloud computing platforms powering 75 percent of the largest global banks and insurance companies. With the enthusiasm and knowledge of infrastructure software Jamie brings, Enigma will substantially accelerate its product development to provide exciting new opportunities for clients and public stakeholders.

“Enigma's focus on operationalizing data is unlike other companies in the market today. Connecting and relating complex data at scale allows enterprises to surface unseen potential within the organization to improve workflows and solve critical operational problems,” said Bernardin. “With this approach, Enigma has created a new category with unlimited market opportunity, and I'm excited to work alongside Hicham and the team he’s built at Enigma.”

Jamie earned PhD, MS, and BS degrees from Brown University in Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Applied Math, respectively. As a NASA Graduate Research Fellow, Bernardin conducted experimental and computational studies in quantum optoelectronics.
