LINCOLN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Athena Capital Advisors LLC (Athena) is pleased to announce that William F. McCalpin has joined the firm as Managing Partner, Impact Investments. Athena is a privately owned, independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) that provides customized investment solutions to private clients as well as foundations and endowments.
At Athena, Mr. McCalpin will direct the firm's impact investing practice which works with clients to align their investment portfolios with their social and environment objectives, across asset classes and issue areas.

Mr. McCalpin was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of Imprint Capital Advisors, an impact investing firm that was acquired by Goldman Sachs Asset Management in September 2015. He is currently a member of the board of the F.B. Heron Foundation and serves as the Independent Chairman of the mutual funds offered by Janus Capital Group and The Investment Fund for Foundations (TIFF). Earlier in his career, for over two decades, Mr. McCalpin served in several different capacities with two endowed grant-making foundations: the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
