meQuilibrium Expands Mindfulness Meditation Offering to Cultivate Adaptive Thinking and Improve Total Wellbeing of Workforces

Solution Empowers Employers and Health Plans to Build a Foundation for Greater Resilience in their People

BOSTON--()--meQuilibrium, the leading solution in building transformational human and organizational resilience for complex global enterprises, unveiled today an enhanced mindfulness meditation offering with new features that not only deepen the benefit of wellbeing, but strengthen the benefits of focus and agility that mindful presence practice delivers. meQuilibrium continues to provide more ways to deliver the benefits of resilience as the company expands its offering in their whole person approach to wellbeing and increased performance.

Mindfulness is an effective tool in the resilience-building toolkit as it cultivates awareness and focus that allows us to frame and adapt our thinking and actions. It helps people gain awareness and perspective, which is the first step to becoming adaptive and resilient. Thousands of scientific studies of brain neuroplasticity show that mindfulness training helps change the way you think about and respond to stressful situations.

“Bolstering our offering in this area strengthens our overall solution because being present can be extremely difficult in an age where people at all levels of an organization are forced to multitask and function at their best amid highly-stressful situations,” said Jan Bruce, CEO of meQuilibrium. “Smart organizations understand that establishing mindfulness and building greater resilience among staff is now table stakes for cultivating innovative, engaged employees.”

The solution includes a seven-day introductory track to help users incorporate the practice of meditation into their everyday lives and covers topics such as sound, breath, focus and compassion. Each session includes a short introduction podcast, along with the audio meditation ranging in length from three to 10 minutes. meQuilibrium has also developed a robust library of meditations on specific topics, such as sleep, worry, anger, and contentment, that users can select based on their individual needs. These audio meditations range from three to about 15 minutes. Two mindfulness meditation experts guide users through the practices:

  • Katherine McHugh – Katherine hosts the meditation track. She studied at the Center for Mindfulness Meditation and trained with mindfulness guru Jon Kabat-Zinn. She has over a decade of experience teaching in corporate and academic settings, including at Aetna, Hasbro, and Hubspot.
  • Bradley Morris – Bradley developed the meditations in the library. He is a world-renowned meditation teacher that has led retreats in over 25 countries. His meditations are #1 on the meditation app Omvana.

“Empowering employees to be fully aware of their own perspectives, tendencies, and even biases can be an extremely powerful advantage,” said McHugh. “For meQuilibrium users, we’ve developed short, practical meditations to help people become more mindful in all aspects of their lives, regardless of how experienced they are in meditation, be it a novice or seasoned practitioner.”

The Mindfulness Meditation offering is available immediately to all employers, health plans and wellness providers offering meQuilibrium. More details are available at www.meQuilibrium.com.
