TrendShift Acquires Health Data Intelligence

TrendShift expands its SaaS-based capabilities in population health, risk modeling and predictive analytics designed to provide clients with real and tangible value

MARINA DEL REY, Calif.--()--TrendShift, LLC acquired the assets of Health Data Intelligence, LLC (“HDI”), a SaaS-based healthcare analytics and population health management company based in Columbus, Ohio, serving employers, benefit advisors, medical managers and payers. The core capability of HDI is its Population Intelligence™ platform which is a comprehensive population health management solution - a cloud-based SaaS platform that equips clients to more efficiently manage health costs, utilization and care outcomes. The application employs proven predictive capabilities designed to forecast utilization and cost, perform member risk stratification, and identify care gaps.

Population Intelligence™ offers more effective case management and concrete, risk-based intervention strategies and recommendations for clients. Underpinning HDI’s applications is The Johns Hopkins ACG® System. The platform is driven by medical and pharmaceutical claims data and is displayed in a series of easy-to-use, customizable dashboards designed for the C-Suite, human resources departments, care managers, health plan administrators, benefit advisors and fiduciaries. The actionable information is displayed in near real time.

Retrospective and prospective claims analytics and risk assessment are core to TrendShift with its flagship application, the Agile Health Platform™. Uniting the technologies, products and services of TrendShift and HDI provides a market-leading, end-to-end enterprise solution for risk holders in health care. While we focus extensively on claims, the TrendShift platform also integrates clinical information. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“The combination of TrendShift and HDI creates a SaaS-based platform that provides clients with unprecedented levels of clarity, transparency and actionable insights - all of which drive better decision making, resource allocation and value-based care at the enterprise and individual level,” stated Joseph A. Boystak, Co-Chairman and CEO of TrendShift.

“We are excited to bring HDI’s proven population health management capabilities to the TrendShift stable of healthcare technologies,” added Jude Odu, HDI’s Founder and President, stating further that “the resulting technology platform from this integration provides a comprehensive, truly formidable solution to the healthcare industry at this critical time of rising cost, increased utilization, and uncertainty with regard to government oversight and fiduciary responsibility.”
