myDevices and Adeunis RF Collaborate to Improve IoT Deployment and Testing

New technology partnership integrates myDevices Cayenne with Adeunis RF LoRaWAN range of devices to enhance network connectivity

SEOUL, South Korea--()--myDevices, the Internet of Things (IoT) solutions company that “simplifies the connected world” and creators of the Cayenne IoT project builder, and Adeunis RF, the European leader in design and manufacturing of advanced wireless transmission systems, today announced its technology partnership at the LoRa® Alliance All Members Meeting and Open House being held in Seoul, South Korea.

The range of Adeunis products compatible with LoRaWAN networks allows easy and quick infrastructure deployments dedicated to applications like sensor networks, environment, intelligent buildings, metering, security, assets tracking and M2M communication. One of the emblematic products, the LoRaWAN Field Test Device, is a ready-to-use system that provides a connection to any operated network using the LoRaWAN protocol. The tool has the ability to check operating information (GPS coordinates, temperature, battery), and critical network data (uplink, downlink, SF, packet error rates).

“The ease of use and data visualization capabilities of Cayenne is a perfect fit for us,” said Frank Fischer, Deputy CEO of Adeunis RF. “We look forward to building upon our work with myDevices and other LoRa Alliance members to address the specific needs of industry verticals starting with facility management services and environmental projects.”

myDevices’ Cayenne platform empowers engineers and businesses to rapidly deploy IoT solutions and efficiently manage data. Cayenne is device- and connectivity-agnostic and provides full control of hardware regardless of manufacturer, all in a scalable and flexible environment. Cayenne has a fully customizable dashboard with drag-and-drop widgets, an integrated rules engine for triggers and threshold alerts, robust scheduling features, and sophisticated visualization tools.

“It is important to collaborate and bring together technology that will unlock real value and simplify IoT for our mutual customers and the entire LoRa community,” said Kevin Bromber, CEO of myDevices. “It certainly has been rewarding to help companies jump-start their IoT initiatives and innovations. We are doing everything in our power to make it easy for developers to try it, like it, and then move forward into a commercial roll out.”

About LoRa™ Alliance

The LoRa™ Alliance is an open, non-profit association that has grown to more than 400 members since its inception in March 2015, becoming one of the largest and fastest growing alliances in the technology sector. Its members are closely collaborating and sharing their experience to promote the LoRaWAN™ protocol as the leading open global standard for secure, carrier-grade IoT LPWA connectivity. With the technical flexibility to address multiple IoT applications, both static and mobile, and a certification program to guarantee interoperability, the LoRaWAN™ is already being deployed by major mobile network operators and is anticipated to widely expand in 2016.

About LoRaWAN™

The technology utilized in a LoRaWAN network is designed to connect low-cost, battery-operated sensors over long distances in harsh environments that were previously too challenging or cost prohibitive to connect. With its unique penetration capability, a LoRaWAN gateway deployed on a building or tower can connect to sensors more than 10 miles away or to water meters deployed underground or in basements. The LoRaWAN protocol offers unique and unequaled benefits in terms of bi-directionality, security, mobility and accurate localization that are not addressed by other LPWAN technologies. These benefits will enable the diverse use cases and business models that will enable deployments of large scale LPWAN IoT networks globally.
