ARC Recognizes Ovation Travel Group And Delta Air Lines Representatives

Agent and Carrier Awards Presented at ARC’s TravelConnect Conference

ARLINGTON, Va.--()--Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC), the premier driver of air travel intelligence and commerce in the travel industry, today presented Shane Chapman, vice president of airline supplier relations at Ovation Travel Group, ARC’s Travel Agent of the Year award. ARC also recognized Tim Delaney, manager of distribution and sales services at Delta Air Lines with its Carrier Representative of the Year award. The awards, which recognize leadership and commitment to improve the air travel distribution processes, were presented at ARC’s annual TravelConnect customer conference taking place in Washington, D.C.

Chapman has more than 25 years of experience in the travel industry holding positions with both airlines and agencies. At ARC’s Annual Leadership Summit in D.C., Chapman provided the ARC Leadership Team a customer’s perspective on the company’s products.

Serving the airline industry for more than 35 years, Delaney has held numerous positions in passenger services, interline accounts, flight statistics and accounting. Delaney is a charter member of ARC’s Debit Memo Working Group and is an active participant on ARC’s Carrier Fraud Advisory Committee.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Shane over the years,” said Jeannine Hankinson, managing director of agency services at ARC. “He’s been a great help in providing vital feedback about our products, like Agency BI, and is dedicated to spreading the word about the importance of consistent data for industry stakeholders; a viewpoint held very close to our hearts at ARC. The customer view that Shane provides benefits the industry as a whole.”

Chuck Fischer, managing director of carrier services at ARC, commented, “Without a doubt, Tim is a strong advocate for Delta’s agency accounts. Under his leadership, Delta cut in half the number of their debit memo reason codes and they were a leader in efforts to standardize codes as well. These actions both enhanced the debit memo management process and strengthened relationships with Delta’s valued travel agency partners.

“All of us at ARC are grateful for the time, effort and commitment both of these award recipients have invested in being strong advocates of the agency channel.”
