Agilysys CEO to Participate on Gaming Industry Panel at G2E 2016

Discussion to Focus on Optimizing Profitability Within the Non-Gaming Environment

ALPHARETTA, Ga.--()--Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading global provider of next-generation hospitality software solutions and services, today announced that Jim Dennedy, the company’s president and chief executive officer, will be featured on an industry panel at the upcoming Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas. Dennedy is a regular speaker at gaming industry events, having recently participated on a panel at G2E Asia in Macau.

The panel, entitled ‘How to Optimize Total Casino Profitability Within the Non-Gaming Environment,’ will focus on assessing the value of the non-gaming guest, capturing and analyzing non-gaming guest experience data, and tracking and analyzing non-gaming guest spend. The panel will be held Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 3:15 p.m. at the Sands Expo & Convention Center, Bellini 2101-B.

Dennedy, who has an extensive background in both the financial and hospitality industries and has served as president and chief executive officer of Agilysys since 2011, will share his insights on how to create connections with non-gaming customers, how to use technology to improve the marketing of non-gaming products and services, and how to effectively promote non-gaming activities regardless of market fluctuations.

“The growth in non-gaming guest revenue has consistently outpaced that in gaming for many years,” Dennedy said. “Vegas visitor trends are highly favorable over the past few years, while gaming spend per visitor remains flat. The Vegas revenue growth story is not only in absolute visitor growth, but also in the increasing non-gaming spend per visitor. It's critical that operators know how to collect and use the right information, both to ensure that the property maximizes profitability from each guest visit and to deliver a memorable guest experience.”

Agilysys offers a wide range of best-of-breed software solutions and services to the gaming industry, including systems for property management, point-of-sale, business intelligence, inventory and procurement, reservations and table management, payment, workforce management and more. Its groundbreaking rGuest® hospitality platform, which addresses the entire guest lifecycle, along with its award-winning InfoGenesis POS® and LMS® and Visual One® PMS solutions, are setting new standards within the industry.

“We’re thrilled that Jim Dennedy is participating in this important discussion,” said panel moderator Mark Birtha, president of Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park in Northfield, Ohio. “Agilysys is a partner to commercial and tribal gaming properties around the world, and Jim leads the company’s efforts. He will bring a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to the table, and his viewpoints will be valuable to attendees.”

Global Gaming Expo (G2E) is the international gaming trade show and conference ‘by the industry and for the industry.’ Organized by the American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions, G2E made its debut in Fall 2001, defining itself as the preeminent show for the gaming-entertainment industry.
