MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Digital River, Inc., a leading global provider of Commerce-as-a-Service solutions, is recognized by the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA) as a finalist in two categories for the 2016 Tekne Awards – Established Software and Applied Analytics – for its ecommerce innovation in virtual reality as well as global logistics and fulfillment. The Tekne Awards honor Minnesota companies and individuals who have shown superior technology innovation and leadership.
In the Established Software category, which honors innovation in software development or applications that enhance productivity and efficiency for business or consumer use, Digital River is being recognized for its ability to power ecommerce inside the virtual reality experience, opening a new consumer sales channel for brands.
