HealthMyne adds new Chief Medical & Informatics Officer (CMIO) to its leadership team

MADISON, Wis.--()--HealthMyne, a Quantitative Imaging Decision Support company, has named Dr. Linda Peitzman, MD, as its Chief Medical & Informatics Officer (CMIO).

“Linda brings tremendous leadership experience and clinical expertise garnered in both startup and large corporate environments to HealthMyne,” said Arvind Subramanian, CEO. “She was among the first group to be board-certified in Clinical Informatics and is also board-certified in Family Practice & Community Health. She is an outstanding addition to the team.”

Linda came to venture-capital backed startup ProVation Medical in 1999 where she formed and led a clinical informatics team to develop and maintain clinical data into the company’s software products, lead clinical product strategy, and achieve integration with EMR systems. After ProVation Medical was acquired in January, 2006, by Wolters Kluwer N.V., Linda became the Chief Medical Officer for Wolters Kluwer Health, and CMIO for the Clinical Solutions business unit.

Dr. Peitzman began her clinical career as a full-spectrum Family Practice and Emergency physician, opening a new practice with a colleague after residency. That practice became successful and was acquired by Park Nicollet/Health System Minnesota. Linda joined Park Nicollet as a practicing physician and soon was elected as a Department Chair and then to the Executive Management Committee, Governance Committee, and Board of Directors. She then took on a CMIO role with that IDN, evaluating HIT products, developing internal clinical systems, developing clinical guidelines, and leading process improvement activities.

Linda has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of healthcare practice, information technology, medical content, clinical usability and product design, product development, process improvement, clinical decision support rules, and EMR integration. Linda has a BA from Gustavus Adolphus College (St. Peter, MN) and an MD from the University of Minnesota.

HealthMyne will be exhibiting (South Building, Hall A, Booth 4165) at the Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America in Chicago from November 27 to December 2, 2016.
