MAXIMUS to Begin Helping Idahoans through the Idaho Employment and Training Services Program

RESTON, Va.--()--MAXIMUS, a leading provider of government services worldwide, announced that it will open its doors to Idahoans today under a new contract to operate the Idaho Employment and Training Services Program. The Idaho Employment and Training Services Program provides workforce services across the Gem State to participants in the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) and Temporary Assistance for Families in Idaho (TAFI) Program.

MAXIMUS will work one-on-one with participants, both in person and remotely, to assess their skills and interests, develop a career plan, and connect them with resources that ultimately lead to sustainable employment and self-reliance. The Company will also partner with families, local community stakeholders and employers to deliver a holistic approach that is person-centric and dedicated to making a positive difference for communities across the state.

“We are excited for the opportunity to help Idaho take its Employment and Training Services Program to the next level of excellence,” commented Kathleen Kerr, MAXIMUS President of Human Services North America. “Our focus on assessing the skills and aspirations of the individual, combined with a deep commitment to understanding the needs of employers, is a proven approach to success. We are committed to helping Idaho achieve its mission of helping SNAP and TAFI participants achieve economic independence.”

“Idaho’s Employment and Training Services Program is a critical cornerstone in helping Idaho families move to self-sufficiency by developing the skills and education necessary to find stability in the workforce,” said Lori Wolff, Administrator for the Division of Welfare in the Department of Health and Welfare. “Any individual receiving SNAP or TAFI services will be assessed individually to determine their best path toward employment. The focus on determining this critical path toward employment and the partnerships developed in our communities to leverage resources that drive a job industry focus are all factors that lead to successful outcomes. This is an important investment for Idaho.”
