BEDMINSTER, N.J. & ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Zelis Healthcare, a leading healthcare information technology company, is pleased to announce that Dr. Steven Wolinsky, MD, is the new Chief Medical Officer of Zelis Healthcare. Dr. Wolinsky’s expertise, experience and deep relationships will help power growth in Claims Integrity and overall.
Dr. Wolinsky is board certified in Internal Medicine with 32 years of experience working with payors and providers to improve healthcare access, quality and cost.
Previously, Dr. Wolinsky was a senior executive leader at Horizon Blue Cross of New Jersey where he served as Senior Medical Director. In his role, he was a key leader focused on driving integrated care, population health, medical cost control, clinical informatics and health economics operations.
Dr. Wolinsky also served as Senior Medical Director for Empire BlueCross of New York and Anthem. In his role, he was a key leader focused on driving medical policy, medical cost control and provider network relationship operations.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Wolinsky founded and operated primary care practices in New Jersey.
Dr. Wolinsky graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania and earned an MD at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed post-graduate training at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
