Ms. Coffman brings more than 20 years of experience in information security and risk management to her new role, where she will provide strategic consulting services and advise organizations on cybersecurity, data privacy, data analytics and compliance.

Prior to joining BDO, Ms. Coffman served as CEO of a boutique consulting firm providing information security and data privacy services, including data breach prevention and response. She also served as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for an international company supplying insurance products for cyber liability and data breach insurance policies, as well as for a publicly traded retail client. Previously, Ms. Coffman was COO at Kroll Advisory Solutions, a member of Deloitte’s Financial Advisory Services practice, Director of Discovery at Johnson & Johnson, and Director of Legal Business Technologies at Thompson Hine.
Ms. Coffman received her Bachelor of Arts in Management from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Cornell University’s S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management. She is certified in Global Information Assurance Security Essentials (GSEC) as well as data privacy from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
