SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Grant Thornton LLP has named Donald Corbett market territory managing partner for its Pacific Northwest practice, which is composed of offices in Seattle, Bellevue, Washington, Portland, Oregon, and Anchorage, Alaska. In this role, he will have responsibility for the firm’s Pacific Northwest Audit, Tax and Advisory service lines, as well as client service, growth and talent development across the four offices.
Most recently, Corbett served as Grant Thornton’s West Region and California Tax practice leader, where he focused on developing and building the California Tax practice, delivering tax planning to dynamic companies throughout the Silicon Valley, and leading the firm’s Tax practice for the West Region. Corbett previously served as the Tax practice leader for the Pacific Northwest market territory
“Don brings a combination of proven leadership skills, vast knowledge and a strong understanding of our dynamic clients’ needs throughout the Pacific Northwest marketplace,” said Jacqueline Akerblom, Grant Thornton’s West Region managing partner. “He will be integral in building upon the long track record of success and momentum that the seasoned leaders and audit, tax and consulting teams have established for our Pacific Northwest practice.”
Corbett joined Grant Thornton in 2003 as a partner, and has been providing corporate, partnership and personal tax planning and compliance services for almost 26 years. He will be relocating from San Jose back to the Seattle area, where he previously lived and worked.
Corbett assumes the market territory partner role from Scott Davison, who will move into the role of Pacific Northwest Audit practice leader. Davison is credited with significantly growing Grant Thornton’s Pacific Northwest practice, most notably with the 2016 acquisition of the former ARRYVE LLC, based in Bellevue.
Corbett is a certified public accountant (CPA) in California, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and Washington and is a member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Corbett received both a Master of Tax and a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University.
