LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ian Rosenblatt OBE, senior partner and founder of City law firm Rosenblatt Solicitors and the inspiration behind the acclaimed Rosenblatt Recital series, today confirmed the world class line-up performing at the Branscombe Festival which will be held between Friday 29 and Sunday 31 July 2016 in Devon.
The Branscombe Festival features leading opera and classical artists and is curated by Ian Rosenblatt, BBC presenter Petroc Trelawny and renowned pianist Iain Burnside; Petroc Trelawny will present all concerts. The Festival builds on the success of the Rosenblatt Recital Series, highlighted in the Rosenblatt video.
The Festival programme is:
Friday 29 July
- Marian Consort - the internationally renowned early music vocal ensemble presents Breaking the Rules, about the life and music of composer and murderer Carlo Gesualdo; they are joined by actor Finbar Lynch
- Miss Hope Springs - the Festival’s first cabaret show of her witty, catchy tunes, delivered at the piano, in her trademark Dusty Springfield beehive
Saturday 30 July
- Florilegium - a Baroque music ensemble performs intimate chamber works on period instruments
- Harry the Piano - takes to the stage to perform jazz standards, hits from the pop charts and classical music in his unique style
- Serena Gamberoni, soprano, and baritone Luca Salsi will be accompanied by pianist Michele Gamba for the opera gala
- Danny Toeman will team up with dance band The Leo Green Experience for a late night gig
Sunday 31 July
- The Camborne Town Band - Cornwall’s famous brass ensemble, will perform a free concert on Branscombe beach
Ian Rosenblatt, who received his OBE in the 2016 Queen’s Birthday Honours List for philanthropic services to music, commented:
