BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hexadite, the creator of the only agentless intelligent security orchestration and automation platform, announced today that it has established a Boston headquarters and appointed two new vice presidents with deep experience in the cybersecurity industry. Aaron Cote joined Hexadite from CarbonBlack as vice president of sales, and Nathan Burke brings experience from companies including Intralinks and CloudLock (recently acquired by Cisco) as vice president of marketing.
Hexadite empowers incident response teams that are locked in an unfair fight against an ever-increasing volume of security alerts. The rise in cyber-attacks and the subsequent alerts they produce from an array of different detection tools have reached a volume that is simply impossible for humans to match. By using artificial intelligence, Hexadite levels the playing field and can automate the investigation and remediation of every alert. It improves security by ensuring that every alert is properly investigated while giving time back to security teams so they can focus on more strategic tasks.
“Security orchestration and automation is the only way organizations will be able to handle the volume of alerts that only continues to increase. Through deployments at leading organizations around the globe, we’ve proven the effectiveness of Hexadite’s solution and based on that success, we’re poised for significant growth. It’s exactly the reason we chose Boston as our new headquarters,” said Eran Barak, CEO of Hexadite. “Boston is a world-class hub for cybersecurity technology, is in a convenient time zone to communicate with our Israeli research and development center and is full of highly skilled talent – like Aaron and Nathan – that will help us grow.”
Aaron Cote joins Hexadite after a decade of serving in sales leadership positions at security company Carbon Black. Most recently, Cote served as Director of Sales, East at Carbon Black – coaching, managing and training regional sales professionals for enterprise accounts. Cote will leverage his extensive experience in bringing security technology to market to help expand Hexadite’s footprint within Global 2000 organizations.
“I’ve seen first-hand how exhausting and laborious it is for security teams to investigate and remediate cyber-attacks. It’s an unenviable task when hackers only need one successful attack to breach a network, but you’re only able to investigate a small portion of potential incidents,” said Aaron Cote, vice president of sales at Hexadite. “With its automation and orchestration technology, Hexadite brings much-needed relief to security teams and I’m excited to be part of the team bringing it to them.”
Nathan Burke joins Hexadite as vice president of marketing. For the past 10 years, Nathan has held marketing leadership roles in information security-related startups. Prior to joining Hexadite, he served in marketing executive roles at publicly-traded Intralinks and startups MineralTree, CloudLock, and matchmine, as well as various advisory roles. With a decade of experience in successfully building business to business (B2B) software brands, Burke will lead Hexadite’s marketing efforts to drive global awareness of Hexadite’s intelligent security orchestration and automation platform.
“Today’s security teams face an unfair fight against cybercriminals, and it’s a battle that has consequences for all of us. Important data like credit card numbers, social security numbers and hospital records are all at risk and everyone is a target,” said Nathan Burke, vice president of marketing at Hexadite. “Companies have invested in detection systems that alert them to potentially malicious activity, but they simply don’t have the resources to properly follow up. Automation is the only way, and Hexadite provides the solution. It’s a great feeling to know that I’m part of a team that can really have an impact in securing the world’s data.”
Hexadite was founded in 2014 by Eran Barak (chief executive officer), Barak Klinghofer (chief product officer) and Idan Levin (chief technology officer), all veterans of an elite intelligence unit of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The company operates out of its headquarters in Boston’s Financial District and maintains a research and development center in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
