SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--InTouch Health, the leading specialty telehealth network and managed service provider, today announced that it has entered into a strategic collaboration with Intuitive Surgical, Inc. (Nasdaq: ISRG), which includes an investment by Intuitive Surgical in the company and a collaboration agreement to jointly develop patient informatics solutions for Intuitive Surgical’s da Vinci® Surgical System.
The Intuitive Surgical investment will allow for, among other things, increased spending to enhance the functionality and scale of InTouch’s telehealth cloud. The collaboration activity will focus on accelerating development of new products including the delivery of data for surgeons in the form of 3D reconstructions of anatomical structures. These jointly developed solutions will be delivered over the InTouch telehealth cloud and network infrastructure.
