Advisor Group Names Andrea Larsen Chief Human Resources Officer

Larsen to build out Advisor Group’s HR function as the firm transitions to independent company

NEW YORK--()--Advisor Group, one of the largest independent broker-dealer networks in the nation, has named Andrea Larsen as Chief Human Resources Officer and head of the network’s human resources department.

Larsen joins Advisor Group with more than 20 years of experience in human resources (HR) and a keen ability to partner with business leaders to drive growth through the building of organizational depth, expertise and capabilities. In her new role with Advisor Group, Larsen will lead, develop and execute HR strategies in support of the network’s business plan and strategic direction. She will focus on talent and performance management, compensation, benefits, HR operations/payroll, change management, organizational design, and employee engagement and development.

Larsen most recently served as the Human Resources Executive for GE Capital Real Estate’s North America platform where she provided organizational effectiveness, talent development and talent management support.

Larsen joined GE in 1994 in the role of Human Resources Manager for GE Capital, Commercial Equipment Finance (CEF) and was later promoted to Vice President, HR Field Operations. After seven years with CEF, she assumed the position of Managing Director, Human Resources for GE Capital, Healthcare Financial Services. She went on to be named the Global HR Compliance Executive for GE Healthcare after serving as the Senior Human Resource Manager of the Finance, Information Management, Legal, Six Sigma, Communications, Marketing and Business Development organizations.

As Chief Human Resources Officer, Larsen will report directly to McGinnis.

Larsen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Human Services from the University of Wisconsin.

Advisor Group was recently purchased by investment funds affiliated with Lightyear Capital LLC, a New York-based private equity firm focused on financial services investing, and PSP Investments, one of Canada’s largest pension investment managers, along with other co-investors. The broker-dealer network now operates as a standalone independent company.
