DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--T-System, Inc., a leading provider of healthcare IT solutions for episodic and emergency care, and Presidiohealth, an emergent care solutions company focused on improving the patient experience from the time they walk through the front door, announced today a partnership to create the first-of-its-kind integrated technology platform to drive efficiencies in business operations for freestanding emergency centers (FSEC). Presidiohealth understands the requirement for excellent patient care and has built a first-of-its-kind integrated technology platform of services that manages each unique patient experience from arrival to final bill payment for emergent care centers. The platform, FSEC FOUNDATION™, will combine T-System’s full electronic Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) solution and Presidiohealth’s suite of practice management tools to enhance care delivery, improve workflow and drive clinical and financial outcomes for the FSEC market nationwide.
Freestanding emergency centers, which are estimated to include more than 500 sites in the United States, face unique challenges related to care delivery and financial outcomes. Each site has different needs depending on the acuity levels of patients, requiring unique tools and resources to improve the overall patient experience. This partnership between T-System and Presidiohealth will fill the current gaps FSECs face when looking to offer a full-suite of solutions – from patient registration to care documentation to coding.
The platform will incorporate T-System’s best-of-breed EDIS solution set, which includes nursing documentation, physician documentation, tracking, computerized physician order entry (CPOE), as well as fully integrated labs and diagnostics. Presidiohealth’s awarded practice management tools, including patient registration, point of service solutions, patient financial services, and coding and charge capture, will create a comprehensive solution for the FSEC marketplace.
“Through our partnership with Presidiohealth, we have an incredible opportunity to not only expand our services and grow our business, but also give FSECs the ability to scale and deliver unmatched care to patients that walk through their doors,” said Robert Hitchcock, M.D., FACEP, Chief Strategy Officer for T-System. “Varying acuity levels and a fast-paced environment leave little room for physicians to be burdened by insufficient technology. We are thrilled to be partnering with Presidiohealth to improve workflow for clinicians, enhance the patient experience and create a positive impact to an organization’s bottom line. We are confident that this one-of-a-kind solution will change the way care is delivered among FSECs.”
As the FSEC market matures and continues to rapidly expand, it’s critical that technology evolves to keep pace. As more and more patients choose to receive care at FSECs due to ease of access, convenience and satisfaction, technology must advance to meet the demands of both these patients and the clinicians serving them. This fully integrated platform provides physicians with visibility to key insights previously unavailable, enabling FSECs to quickly adapt, grow and scale as the industry evolves.
Additionally, the platform provides integration that seamlessly allows other solution providers, such as billing, lab and radiology, to directly layer on tools within an FSEC system.
“At Presidiohealth, we are focused on delivering an exceptional FSEC patient experience that creates loyal and happy return customers. Leveraging innovative technology is a necessity for delivering the highest quality patient care together with solid, consistent revenues,” said Peter Jensen, CEO for Presidiohealth. “We are excited to partner with such a forward-thinking company as T-System to bring a new suite of technology capabilities to our clients. Coupled with our best-of-breed patient and revenue management tools, T-System’s outcome-focused documentation solutions will provide a finely-tuned platform uniquely designed to meet the needs of not only our existing FSECs, but those that are being formed today in the growing market.”
The two leading providers of technology solutions for the unscheduled care environment have already successfully integrated and implemented their platforms for several FSECs today. The new partnership is creating a gold standard technology, without the hassle of integrating systems, by which FSECs can successfully build, grow and scale their business.
FSEC FOUNDATION™ is available today to the FSEC market.
