PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with San Luis Obispo County, California, for Tyler’s EnerGov™ planning, regulatory and maintenance platform. The agreement includes software licenses, maintenance and support.
The county wanted to replace its legacy planning and permitting system with a modern, spatially oriented solution that could increase data access to improve communication across departments. Leaders sought an easy-to-use solution that was flexible enough to grow with the county.
San Luis Obispo County chose EnerGov after a competitive review, valuing Tyler’s long and successful track record of developing and implementing software specifically for the public sector. The Southern California county favored EnerGov’s robust technology framework and functionality, and its ability to automate permit submission, processing and workflows to further enhance customer service.
As a modern permitting and land management platform, EnerGov will help the county streamline business processes and increase employee efficiency by eliminating manual and duplicate processes.
The county will also benefit from Tyler’s evergreen perpetual licensing approach that provides regular and significant, yet manageable, software enhancements without an additional relicensing or service fee, ensuring the county has continued access to evolving technology.
San Luis Obispo County has approximately 269,000 residents and 2,500 employees; it borders the Pacific coast about 160 miles northwest of Los Angeles. The county also uses Tyler’s Odyssey® court case management system and Tyler’s Eagle™ recording and property tax assessment solution.
