Idaho Mining Association Announces New Executive Director

BOISE, Idaho--()--The Idaho Mining Association is very pleased to announce Mr. Ben Davenport has been appointed as its new Executive Director.

Mr. Davenport brings over 12 years of experience in public policy and governmental affairs and was previously the President of the Associated Taxpayers of Idaho. He is a graduate of Boise State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with emphasis in Public Policy and Public Affairs.

“We are very pleased to have Ben join us,” said Luke Russell, current President of the Mining Association. “His diverse experience in all levels of government and association management will be a great asset as we maintain and grow our association.” Mr. Davenport is replacing Jack Lyman, who recently retired after serving 27 years as the Association’s previous Executive Director.

Mr. Davenport will begin his duties in late June and will be based in the Association’s Boise office.
