CORAL GABLES, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Avila Rodriguez Hernandez Mena & Ferri LLP (“ARHMF”), a multi-practice law firm representing domestic and international businesses and investors, today announced the addition of a new attorney, Laercio Guimaraes, to the firm’s Tax, Trusts and Estates Practice.
Mr. Guimaraes focuses his practice in taxation, trusts and estate planning with an emphasis on international estate planning, cross-border tax transfers, tax treaty planning, FATCA, inbound and outbound investment structuring, and assisting clients with tax and succession laws to meet objectives in a tax-efficient manner.
Mr. Guimaraes earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from the New York University School of Law in 2013. He received a Juris Doctor with high honors from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law in May 2010, earning the College of Law Outstanding Achievement Award for best performance in International Law, the CALI Award for Legal Ethics and Immigration Law, and the William H. Leary Scholar Award. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah in 2005, graduating magna cum laude.
Born and raised in Brazil, Mr. Guimaraes has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2010. He is also admitted to the Colorado Bar and the New York Bar.
