NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sheridan, the Physician Services division of AmSurg Corp. (NASDAQ: AMSG), has further expanded its anesthesiology services business through the acquisition of North Florida Anesthesia Consultants, Inc. The group is comprised of over 70 physicians, certified registered nurse anesthetists and anesthesiologist assistants, who provide services to 18 facilities in Florida. The group delivers both inpatient and outpatient anesthesia services, predominantly at Ascension Health’s St. Vincent’s hospitals and Hospital Corporation of America’s surgery centers in Jacksonville, among other facilities. The acquisition serves to establish Physician Services’ presence in Jacksonville and the greater northeast Florida market.
