LONDON & ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Merrill Corporation (www.merrillcorp.com), a global provider of secure content sharing, regulated communications and disclosure services, announced Alun Baker has joined the company as Managing Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In this role, Baker will be responsible for leading Merrill’s EMEA business including overseeing strategy development and implementation, product alignment, client service and sales execution. Baker will be based in London and work closely with other global functional leaders to implement and share best practices across the company. His appointment is effective immediately.

Baker comes to Merrill with more than 20 years in the information technology sector, including significant experience building the European footprints of leading US software firms. He was most recently senior vice president, EMEA, for Viewpoint Construction Software. He held additional leadership roles with Accenture Procurement, Citihub, TIBCO Software, and Oracle Corporation. His depth and reach of experience cuts across many areas, including ERP software, reporting and analytics, BPO, specialist consultancies and online/web platforms in several industry verticals including finance and banking, telecoms, media and manufacturing and construction.
