Microgrid Knowledge to Host First-of-a-Kind Gathering in Manhattan

Microgrid leaders to gather May 19 for “New York and Beyond: Advancing Microgrids Nationally with Lessons Learned in New York.”

NEW YORK--()--Microgrid Knowledge, the international leader in microgrid news and information, will host “New York and Beyond: Advancing Microgrids Nationally with Lessons Learned in New York,” a gathering of microgrid leaders in Manhattan, May 19.

The conference will open with a keynote address by Richard Kauffman, New York State Energy Czar.

Created by Microgrid Knowledge’s Editor-in-Chief Elisa Wood, “New York and Beyond” is designed for microgrid companies, their customers and advocates who are reshaping the power industry.

The forward-looking agenda focuses on what’s ahead for microgrid markets, policy and financing with roundtable discussions featuring industry leaders from S&C Electric, Hitachi, ABB, Siemens, ZF Energy, Anbaric Microgrid, Duke Energy, Edison Electric Institute and Generate Capital, among others.

A special break-out session, designed for communities, businesses and institutions considering microgrids, will feature first-hand advice from those who have already installed microgrids or are on the road to do doing so.

Inspired by the success of the NY Prize, a $40 million competition sponsored by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, the conference will examine lessons learned that can be applied to microgrid development across North America – even internationally.

“This conference will explore how microgrids can revolutionize the power industry and improve our communities, businesses and institutions,” said Microgrid Knowledge’s Wood. “We see this as a great opportunity for those with insight and experience to come together and shape the industry’s future direction – and for those interested in installing microgrids to better understand the opportunity.”

The conference is pleased to welcome S&C Electric, Hitachi, ABB, Siemens, ZF Energy, OATI, Exelon, and Anbaric Microgrid as sponsors. To inquire about sponsoring, please contact Kevin Normandeau.
