SWEDESBORO, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Anthony Grzib, R.Ph., director of Pharmacy Compliance for Wedgewood Pharmacy, has been elected to the 2016 board of directors of the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP) by the IACP membership. The association represents more than 4,000 pharmacists, technicians and students who focus on the specialty practice of pharmacy compounding.
“Having the clinical and professional expertise of individuals like Anthony is essential to IACP's role in developing the best practices of compounding pharmacists everywhere,” says IACP President Gary McCrory, R.Ph., CCN. “Each of our volunteer board members brings unique experience as both practitioners and business managers to guide IACP and its membership. As director of Pharmacy Compliance for Wedgewood Pharmacy, Grzib is responsible for the operation of the pharmacy in conformance with all laws and rules pertinent to the practice of pharmacy and drug dispensing. He develops policies and systems for formulating and producing compounded preparations accurately, efficiently and consistently. He is responsible for implementing and maintaining continuous quality-improvement systems and overseeing all pharmacists in the pharmacy. He is a registered pharmacist in 11 states and has been in the pharmacy profession since 1990.
Prior to joining Wedgewood in 2000, he was pharmacist-in-charge and team leader for CVS Pharmacy (Oaklyn and Cherry Hill, NJ) and for Eckerd Drugs (Pennsauken, NJ). He began his career as a pharmacy technician at Eckerd Drugs. He is a member of the Parenteral Drug Association, the New Jersey Pharmacist Association and the American Pharmacist Association. He holds a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from the Rutgers University College of Pharmacy.
