Aqua and HomeServe USA Expand Partnership to Offer Home Repair Service Plans to North Carolina Customers

CARY, N.C--()--HomeServe USA (HomeServe) today announced that, under its partnership with Aqua America (Aqua), it will be expanding into Aqua’s North Carolina service areas as the utility’s preferred provider of home repair service plans. The partnership between HomeServe and Aqua began over 12 years ago, initially serving customers in Pennsylvania, and has grown over the last decade to serve 98,000 Aqua customers in seven states. Aqua was HomeServe’s first utility partner in the U.S.

Beginning this month, optional water service line repair plans will be offered through HomeServe to approximately 70,000 households across 51 counties served by Aqua in North Carolina. The broader suite of HomeServe plans will also be made available to customers in the area, including coverage for sewer lines, in-home plumbing, water heaters, heating and cooling systems and in-home electrical wiring.

The service plans offered by HomeServe are cost-effective solutions for homeowners providing a better way to manage the expenses and inconvenience that often come with home repair emergencies. The expansion of HomeServe’s partnership with Aqua into North Carolina builds on the increasing number of municipalities and utilities across the country that offer these types of optional service plans to their customers. Many homeowners are unaware that these types of repairs are not covered by basic homeowner’s insurance policies and are caught off guard when a home emergency occurs, placing a strain on their finances.

The Water Service Line Coverage is available now for $5.49/month. HomeServe will also offer Sewer/Septic Line coverage for $9.49 per month, Interior Plumbing and Drainage System coverage for $11.99 per month, Water Heater Repair coverage for $5.99 per month, Heating System Repair coverage for $11.49 per month, Cooling System Repair coverage for $11.49 per month and Electrical Emergency/Breakdown coverage for $6.49 monthly. All HomeServe service plans will be billed by HomeServe separately from customers’ Aqua water bills, with convenient payment methods offered from HomeServe.
