LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. & PEMBROKE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MSDI, Rockland IT Solutions and Source Support Services (Source) today announced that they have merged to form Congruity – a new company that will deliver the platform for technology providers to enable worldwide, comprehensive support services through an automated and efficient business model.
Todd Gresham, the current CEO of Source, will be CEO of Congruity, and the rest of Congruity’s senior management team will be comprised of existing executives from the three companies. Congruity’s operations will be based in Lawrenceville, Ga., Pembroke, Mass. and Fall River, Mass. The company will remain privately held, and terms of the merger were not disclosed.
“Technology providers, value added resellers and integrators face many challenges today, and one of the largest is developing a global service and support infrastructure. Large established companies have worldwide services capabilities but have requirements they can’t address with current resources, and for growing companies building their own is expensive, time-consuming, complex and risky,” said Todd Gresham, CEO of Congruity. “Congruity is redefining how a company, large or small, can approach IT services. Using our approach, organizations can deliver better customer service, improve customer satisfaction, realize faster deployment and support times, increase operational efficiency and reduce their total service costs. We also feel Congruity is well positioned to address the fundamental shift in how technology providers meet the need for scalable and cost-effective implementation of rack scale compute and data storage infrastructures.”
MSDI, Rockland IT and Source began working together through a strategic partnership in early 2015, and all three have been IT segment service leaders in their own right. MSDI is known for its development and build-out of IT solutions, including cloud services, Rockland brings substantial and superior IT hardware resources and enterprise support. Source is a leader in IT service delivery.
Congruity combines these core capabilities, and offers complete support services throughout the entire lifecycle of a company’s IT infrastructure. The company:
- Implements, installs, optimizes and services IT solutions from data creation and planning to disaster recovery
- Provides on-demand visibility and control
- Delivers same-day, on-site support in all 50 states and 91 countries worldwide
- Has a large team of systems and solutions architects who average over 20 years of experience in complex IT technologies and have/maintain expert-level certifications
- Retains, educates, and certifies a network of more than 12,000 certified service professionals
- Architected and operates a state-of-the-art, SSAE 16 Type 2 Compliant datacenter
- Inventories an average of 500,000 server, data storage and networking parts
“As partners, MSDI, Rockland IT and Source came up with a way to deliver a broad scope of IT services, and fill in a real gap in the services marketplace,” said Dr. Katy Ring, research director of IT Services at 451 Research. “Because of this, technology providers and VARs sought them out for their counsel and realized tangible benefits as a result. The partnership between the companies proved successful and this merger is the logical next step. Congruity is very well positioned for success in the IT services marketplace.”
“Source Support Services has been a great partner in helping Pure maintain our relentless pursuit to raise the bar on customer service and global support,” said Todd Engle, vice president of operations at Pure Storage (NYSE: PSTG). “We look forward to continued collaboration with Congruity."
“Congruity presents great opportunities for Cray and its customers,” said Wayne Kugel, senior vice president of worldwide customer service at Cray (NASDAQ: CRAY). “The team at Source Support Services has provided Cray with a valuable channel of on-site repair services over the years. Now that their capabilities and scale have grown through this merger, we’re really looking forward to bringing that incremental value to our customers.”
“One of the most important components of our success is a rock-solid service organization, and Congruity gives us that,” said Dave Herzan, director of hardware and software support at Scale Logic. “Their expertise is unmatched, and they can support pretty much any key component in the IT infrastructure. In addition, their scale enables quick response anywhere that it’s needed around the world. They’re essential to our success, and we look forward to a continued relationship.”
Going forward, Congruity will continue to operate much as its three individual companies have been, but with a greater emphasis on providing more integrated services that deliver more value on a larger scale. The company is planning no major staffing changes; if anything, as post-merger synergies are realized and the business grows as anticipated, it expects to hire more staff and continue to scale appropriately.
