FRANKFURT, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--120 companies will present their latest jewellery and timepiece creations on the Hong Kong combined stand at Baselworld from March 17 to 24, 2016 and show a wealth of ideas which once again knows no bounds. The increasing demand for diamonds is more than evident in countries like China and India where a growing middle-class has more income available. Also in Europe solitaire engagement rings and memory rings are becoming more popular. Designs on show range from geometrical to extravagant and diamonds are frequently combined with gemstones and pearls like Able Jewelry Mfg Limited´s rings creating an interplay of pearls, diamonds and rose gold. Christelle Ltd.´s geometrically-designed rings combine diamonds and 18-carat white gold.
Alongside white and rose gold, yellow gold makes a comeback. D.W.L. Creations Ltd. offers statement-diamond rings in all three gold colours. Bicolour stays in demand as in Athos (HK) Limited´s pendants in avant-garde design. Coloured gemstones in new combinations exhibits Dewcarat Ltd. like a ring with a large white opal surrounded by blue sapphires and diamonds. Goldiaq Creation Limited´s ring covering the whole finger combines diamonds, blue sapphires, iolite and green garnets.
Hong Kong, as a centre for pearl trade, once again creates new highlights and mixes pearls with coloured stones and diamonds, like Richard Jewelry Co. Ltd. producing exceptional earrings combining diamonds, citrines and quartz-stones with South-Sea-pearls.
With timepieces, exhibitors offer a complete range from retro-design through rugged steel and sports watches to smart watches. Creative Choice Limited combines classical and modern style by integrating elements of traditional camera lenses into the watch case for its model “Vintage Lens” (TACS brand). Trade Mix Co. Ltd.´s “TMG 6900” picks up on the trend for a military look. The variety of ladies’ watches ranges from casual through feminine. Along with bicolour and metal straps, white leather straps stay in demand. In contrast, Chong Ma Enterprises Ltd. offers a watch dial with a ring cut out of coloured gemstone/crystal. Xonix Watch Company Limited´s smart watch “HRM3” functions range from pedometer to heartbeat monitor.
Exclusive packaging provides a stylish end to purchases like the wooden boxes with dragon motifs from Qualipak Manufacturing Ltd..
