Toshiba Announces Cloud Client Manager for Mobile to Simplify Device Management

TCCM Mobile Ensures Businesses of Any Size are Able to Enforce Their Device Policies and Effectively Maintain Security

IRVINE, Calif.--()--Toshiba's Business Solutions Division (BSD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced the Toshiba Cloud Client Manager (TCCM) for Mobile, a comprehensive toolset that enables businesses to manage and secure their mobile devices, from deployment to maintenance. Consisting of three different systems that users can individually purchase depending on an organization’s requirements, TCCM Mobile includes Mobile Device Management, Mobile Application Management and Mobile Content Management packages.

“The Toshiba Cloud Client Manager for Mobile is designed to simplify the process of managing a fleet of hardware,” said Carl Pinto, vice president of marketing, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Business Solutions Division. “No matter the size of the business and regardless of what systems are currently in place, TCCM Mobile provides an ideal end-point management service that ensures businesses are able to enforce their device policies and effectively maintain security.”

Seamless Integration

As a cloud-based service, TCCM Mobile empowers both small businesses as well as large-scale enterprises to remotely manage their inventory of Android™, iOS®, Windows® or Blackberry® smartphones and tablets – even if the company operates a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy. Featuring a unified user interface across personal and corporate devices, any business can leverage the platform regardless of their existing IT infrastructure.

TCCM Mobile is fully compatible with Toshiba’s TCCM platform and can be used alongside other existing client management solutions, resulting in advanced security and compliance enforcement without the need for additional investments.

Modules for Every Need

The Mobile Device Management (MDM) system allows administrators to effortlessly distribute and enforce policies across mobile devices, ensuring that all machines meet corporate security criteria. From disabling cameras to remotely wiping a lost device, administrators can even use MDM to implement device policies based on location so that users in public places are blocked from performing certain tasks. MDM can also collect individual hardware data such as network settings, real time data usage and installed apps for added convenience in addressing security risks.

The Mobile Content Management (MCM) package separates personal and business data to support secure file sharing across various business applications. This protects critical company data with numerous security features including automatic encryption, user authentication and expiry deletion timers.

Businesses can also leverage the Mobile Application Management (MAM) module to curb potential security breaches and increase control over BYOD devices. MAM allows administrators to distribute, delete and blacklist apps, while simultaneously boosting productivity with a secure link to internal systems, all without the need for VPN connections.

Availability

TCCM Mobile will be available in the first quarter of 2016.
