SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sighten, the leading solar software provider, today announced the appointment of Vivek Malipatil as vice president of strategy & operations, Mariya Nomanbhoy as vice president of product and Quentin Notte as director of business development. Together, Vivek, Mariya and Quentin bring more than seventeen years of experience in the energy industry working with some of the leading names in solar and finance. These strategic hires come after Sighten’s recent $3.5 million Series A financing round from Obvious Ventures and will help the company meet growing demand for its comprehensive software platform built for the unique needs of the solar industry.
“Growth has been rapid and right now we’re onboarding several customers per week including top solar and financing companies,” said Conlan O’Leary, CEO and co-founder of Sighten. “Mariya, Vivek and Quentin provide seasoned leadership to ensure Sighten continues to delight customers by consistently delivering the most advanced software toolset for solar.”
Before joining Sighten, Vivek worked at Verengo Solar, a leading national solar integrator, where he oversaw operations, strategy, business intelligence and software development. An accomplished engineer with an MBA, he also worked at the Boston Consulting Group and at General Motors as a systems integration engineer.
“Sighten is solving key structural problems in the solar industry to make it easier and less expensive to bring more solar online,” said Vivek. “I look forward to helping installers and investors grow their businesses efficiently through better software.”
Mariya has extensive experience developing both solar and finance software tools. She previously ran Clean Power Finance’s product team and built financial technology systems for the alternative investment group at Goldman Sachs. She holds a degree in computer science from Columbia and an MBA from the Haas School of Business.
“Sighten has made the complex solar workflow simple through improved technology,” said Mariya. “By listening closely to the needs of the solar industry, we’ll continue to adapt the software to ensure solar companies and financing providers have the tools needed to be successful.”
Quentin has seven years of experience in the energy industry with roles spanning strategic planning, trading and business development for large European gas and power players GDF-Suez (now Engie) and Enel. Most recently, Quentin ran business development for Mercatus, a provider of software focused on the renewable energy sector.
